Northern Maine is home to a wide variety of native wildlife. While you're at Camp, you can expect to see moose, white-tailed deer, loons, red-tailed hawks, and black bears, as well as a variety of smaller critters such as mink, red squirrels, snowshoe hares, bats, ducks, black-capped chickadees, and hummingbirds. Occasionally, we're graced by the presence of bald eagles, osprey, and falcons; recently, there have also been sightings of lynx and a mother bobcat with kittens. We encourage guests to bring a camera and a set of binoculars, and to keep their eyes open for our furry and feathered neighbors. As with all wildlife, please don't attempt to feed our friends, and please don't bother them. If you let them go about their business, they'll let you go about yours.
