I redesigned the webpage this week; please let me know what you think of it. I'll be adding more content in the coming days. Look for updated maps, a downloadable brochure and business cards, and a few other surprises.
Welcome to Mike's 28th year at camp! Our first guests arrive today, and the season promises to be a good one with lots of old, familiar faces and lots of new ones, too. As always, we're excited to share our home, hopsitality, and favorite fishing spots with you, and we'll strive to make your vacation with us memorable.
This may seem to be a strange site on which to see this news, but the webmaster graduated from Virginia Tech in 2001, and I want to personally send my condolances to anyone who may have been directly or indirectly affected by yesterday's tragedy. I had several classes in Norris Hall, and one of my favorite professors was among the victims of the violence that I don't think any of us can make sense of. Blacksburg is a beautiful, safe town, more similar to Northern Maine than you might think, and that such a thing could take place there is nearly unthinkable. My heart goes out to the school, the community, and the families and friends of the victims.
September this year is busy busy busy. The trees are changing their color, and our 27th season is wrapping up pretty well. The web page gone through another change; the webmaster keeps coming up with new ideas and enjoys playing around with the format. My hope is to bring some interactive content to the web page in the upcoming months, just as soon as I learn some new programming tricks. As always, if you have pictures or other content you'd think would make a nice addition to the page, please send it to me.
Welcome to Mike's 27th season at the Red River Camps! We're planning on making a few small changes this year; we installed a new communications tower in July. As always, we're looking forward to providing you with the best North Maine Woods experience possible.
Please help us update the Frequently Asked Questions sections of the website; if there's a question that you think should be up there (or if you have any other comments about the site) please e-mail the webmaster.
We'll be opeining Camp on May 20th this year. We're looking forward to a great season and hope to see you all in a few months!
We're looking forward to the New Year and the new season! We've raised the price of the bear hunt for this upcoming autumn but hope to keep the rest of our prices the same as our 2005 rates.
We've also introduced our new e-mail address with the new webpage. Please update your contact list to include the Red River Camps at mike@redrivercamps.com. For technical issues, please contact webmaster@redrivercamps.com.
Happy Holidays to all of our friends across the globe. We wish you all a season of peace, health, and happiness.
