From the South
Take Interstate 95 North to Exit 264 (Sherman/Patten).
Follow Route 11 north approximately 70 miles to Portage.
Left on W. Cottage Rd at Dean’s Motel.
Left onto the woods road (look for signs).
After approx. 3 miles, check-in at North Maine Woods Gate. You will be required to pay a gate fee.
Follow the signs for approximately 23 miles to Red River.
From the north:
Follow Route 161 (St. John Rd) west from Fort Kent approximately 23 miles, then turn left onto the woods road. (Look for Chamberlain's Store
on the left.)
After approx. 1/2 mile, check-in at the North Maine Woods Gate. You will be required to pay a gate fee.
Follow signs for approximately 20 miles to Red River.
